So I decided to watch the second movie in mind, "Abang Beduk" which she was also cast in. Which also, the movie touched my heart.
So as I watched, the starting part was already funny. So I thought that it might be a funny-romantic islamic movie. But as I watched, it's not only funny and romantic, but sad too.
It's about a guy who doesn't know what to do with his life and he always got teased by his aunts because their sons are working overseas at London and kept on telling him that their salary there was $50,000/mth. His name is Ahmad. People thought he was a slow learner and kinda "blur" type of person. But as I watched further, I realised that he could be called a fast learner. Because he learns as he sleeps or rather he learns through his sleep. That's one special gift from Allah alright.
5 years ago he met this girl (acted by Mira Filzah). He was from a rich family and she was an ordinary kampung girl. She's been there by his side whenever and wherever he is. And she always understands him in everything. He wanted to meet up with her very often but she said that both of them can't see each other 24/7 cos they are not "mahram". But he doesn't know what that meant. So she told him, after he knows what he wants to do with his life and whats the meaning of "mahram'", then go look for her.
5 years later, he finally knows what he wants to do and the meaning of "mahram" (through his younger sister), he visits her at her house and told her that he wants to join "Pencetus Ummah". Something like a competition I think, and he wants to become a "Abang Beduk". And also he wants to marry her so that she could teach him about religion and all for him to be able to compete at the competition. I could tell that his character was a straight forward guy.
But, his parents had other plans for him. His father wanted him to become a proffesional athlete and his mother wants him to be an actor. Both wanted fame, reputation and money only. But both doesn't know what he wants. So ended up both having conflict. And he was kinda depressed or stressed and kept on running away from home.
After the conflict and all, he told his parents to follow him to her (Mira Filzah) place. And he told her parents that he wants to marry her. But suddenly, the scene changes to his home where his parents was scolding him for not discussing with them first about marring her. And both his parents didn't even know who she was. So long story short, he ran away from home.
After that, his parents realised about their relationship, and they tried to persuade him by proposing him to her. But when they got there, another family came to propose to her. Didn't know her parents arranged a marriage with that family. So he and her went to a coffee shop to talked about this. Can see that he was saddened and heart broken. She said it's not her choice, but her parent's. And she just went ahead to follow and obey what they want. Not long, he left without a word, heart broken. He was so sad that he ran away from his house, again. But he told his parents not to look or disturb him as he wants to study with one of the ustaz at the mosque but didn't tell them where. Coincidently, she was there when he msg his parents. And she knew where to look for him.
So they went to the mosque and correctly guessed he was there. He was shocked to see her in his parents car also helped to look for him. Went back home and his mother grounded him till she allowed him to go out. After that, she and her "fiance" were at a shop to look for the material they wanna use for their wedding. But her mind was thinking about Ahmad as she felt worried for him. Her fiance can see that and he understood. But he wants her to ask her parents whether they wanted to see her get married to him or to see her happy. So finally she asked her parents and when they asked her, she chose Ahmad.
So her parents went to Ahmad's house and asked his parents to confirm about their relationship. But when they wanted to ask Ahmad personally, but to no availability to find him. Earlier Ahmad told his sister that he wants to run away from home and she helped. His parents asked their daughter where is he and she told them the truth. They went to look for him at the home of the ustaz. But he wasn't there.
I finally realised that the room he was in was his sister's room. So all along he was in his sister's room. Both him and his sister went to watch Pencetus Ummah and the registration for the competition is the next day. But coincidently, their parents were behind them and started scolding him. Then his father told him that he will bring him to their old village the next day because he has been misbehaving.
Saddened, thought that he couldn't enter the the competition. But in the end, his parents brought him to the place for the registration. He turned happy all of the sudden. While waiting for his audition, she came with a bright smile on both faces. During the audition, the judges asked him to talk about family. And he chose to talk about his mother, how not to disobey her and all. All along while he was talking about it, I cried. Seriously I cried. I feel his strong words touched my heart.
After the audition, they went home. A few days later, both of them got married. And can see that he was overly excited till he said out what he needs to say before the imam could even finish his sentence. haha! So I guess thats a happy ending.
What a movie. The first ever movie that made me cried for real. I decided to watch this movie because Mira Filzah was in it. haha! B'cos you know from my previous posts how I said she was my ideal type of woman. haha!
Other than that, that's if for now. Thanks for reading and I know its long but my mood of typing about the storyline was there lol. So yeah, CHOW!
